Every vehicle purchased from GB Cars includes a three-month parts and labour warranty as standard - at no extra cost.
What's covered:
- Engine (internally lubricated parts)
- Gearbox (manual and automatic)
- Drivetrain (driveshafts, differential, clutch components)
- Steering and suspension (major components)
- Braking system (master cylinder, callipers, ABS)
- Electrical (alternator, starter, key electrical components)
What's not covered:
- Wear-and-tear items (brake pads, discs, wipers, bulbs)
- Damage from accidents, misuse, or modifications
- Service items (oil, filters, plugs)
- Cosmetic defects present at point of sale

Extended warranty
We offer extended warranties through trusted third-party providers, in 6, 12, 24 and 36-month terms. Cover ranges from major mechanical to fully comprehensive - including diagnostic, towing, and overnight accommodation cover for major failures away from home.
Extended cover can also be added in the first 30 days after collection.
14-day money-back guarantee (remote sales)
If you buy a car from us remotely and we've delivered to you, you have 14 days to return it for any reason, subject to standard mileage and condition terms. Full terms provided with your sale documents.
Aftercare - servicing, MOT, repairs
We work with a trusted local servicing partner in Romford. Whether you bought your car from us or not, we can arrange:
- Annual servicing (interim, full, or major)
- MOT testing
- Tyres, brakes, batteries
- Diagnostic checks and repairs
- Bodywork and SMART repairs
If you bought your car from GB Cars, we offer a discounted aftercare rate for the first 12 months.
How to make a warranty claim
- Stop driving if the issue could cause further damage. Park up safely.
- Call us first on 07551520464, Mon-Sat 9am-6pm. We'll talk you through the next step.
- Don't authorise any repair work before speaking to us.
- Bring the car back to Romford if safe. If not, we'll arrange recovery.
We aim to confirm warranty decisions within two working days of seeing the car.
FAQ
Does the warranty start the day I collect the car? Yes. The three-month period runs from your collection date.
Can I get repairs done at my local garage? For warranty work, the car needs to come back to our approved repairer. Outside warranty, you're free to use any garage.
What happens if the car develops a fault after the warranty ends? Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 still apply - separate from any warranty. Get in touch and we'll advise.
Does the warranty cover me abroad? The standard three-month warranty covers vehicles used in the UK. Some extended warranty providers offer European cover.
